What’s it all about?
The No Strings Padel Knockabout is a laid-back industry networking event for people working across regeneration, development, construction, and the built environment. It’s hosted by SHIFT Project Management, with sponsorship from Vertical Recruitment.
The Knockabout started as a simple idea: bring good people together, without the usual strings attached.
It was also the soft (and very unofficial) launchpad for SHIFT PM — a consultancy built to lead regeneration projects with more heart, less ego, and a people-first mindset. This event reflects that spirit: open, inclusive, and focused on genuine connection rather than noise or ego.
Each quarter, we gather for an afternoon of:
- Relaxed networking (the kind without name badges or awkward intros)
- Padel matches for all levels
- Smiles, chat, and good energy
- A chance to reconnect with industry peers and meet new ones
